Running club is open to 3rd-5th grade students. Students may join running club at the beginning of each school year. Running club begins Thursday, TBA.

Running club meets each Thursday after school until 4:15 pm.

At the beginning of each school year, all 3rd-5th grade students are invited to be part of the Summerfield Running Club. The club meets each Thursday afternoon until 4:15 pm. STUDENTS MUST BE PICKED UP ON TIME. If a student is not picked up on time, they will not be allowed to participate in running club. Students are expected to bring clothes to change into and to run with the group. Summerfield participates in meets through Kids on the Run sponsered by Sports Spectrum. Students are also encouraged to attend the Heart Run in the fall. The sponsors are Coach and other teachers.

Kids on the Run is "a series of one-mile runs designed to build camaraderie and competition among the local elementary school running clubs. Individual runners are invited to participate too." -Sports Spectrum
